dry shotcrete
JEMATUN DRY LWM 85 is produced on the basis of Jelšava clinker, with a low CaO content and with an organic binder. The bond was selected and prepared on the basis of laboratory tests and in accordance with the conditions of use by the consumer. The mass is used for dry shotcrete (packing) of the lining of the working layer of tundishes using a template, without using a special shotcrete machine and water.
The particle size distribution of the mass has the property of a self-spreading material.
The technology of gunning (packing) with dry masses allows to reduce energy consumption, reduce the time of tundish turnover, and increase the service life of the ladle reinforcement lining. At the same time, the absence of water in the working layer excludes the release of hydrogen into the melt during casting, as well as the risk of accidents associated with poor-quality drying of the shotcrete layer.
The mass is poured into a dosing device equipped with a hopper, with a screw feeder and a filling sleeve. At the time of use, the device is suspended by a crane.
1.Preparation of outlets, installation of plugs, installation of a turbo stop.
2. The temperature of the tundish before “filling” the mass to the bottom should not exceed 60 ° C.
3. “Filling” and leveling of the JEMATUN DRY LWM 85 mass along the bottom of the tundish to the required thickness is carried out from the hopper or with a shovel according to the established template. The template is made on site.
4.To exclude the adhesion of the mass to the outer side of the metal part of the template, it is coated with an aqueous solution of chalk, for this, the chalk is diluted with water and applied to the template, then the template is installed (centered) in a tundish.
5. Filling the mass on short, followed by long walls of the tundish with modern deaeration.
6. Transportation of tundish to the stand and then drying of the lining according to the schedule – curve No. 1 . Drying temperature should not exceed 400 ° C.
7. Cooling of tundish after drying for at least 1 hour.
8.Recommended temperature inside the template before removal – max. 50 ° C
9. Removing the template – carefully “squeezing” the walls of the template using a handy tool and then pulling the template out of the tundish with a crane.
10. Equipment – preparation of tundish for casting.
11.Heating tundish
– if the tundish goes to a cold start, then heating should be carried out through the covering sleeves (pipes) only in the area of the outlets at 1100 – 1200 ° C
– if the tundish goes to hot start, then heating is performed according to curve No. 2 .
12. Cooling of the tundish after casting and tilting.
